Ive been using the Diabetes version of MyNetDiary for several months now, after using the regular version off and on for a few years. Early this year I got diagnosed with pre-diabetes, and slightly high LDL cholesterol, so I took it upon myself to figure out what I could do to prevent going worse with these conditions. I used MyNetDiary to track everything ate, and also tracked my daily fasting blood sugar and my other regular metrics like weight, BP, pulse etc.
With that (and feedback and tips and articles provided by MyNetDiary), I was able to discuss with my doctor and nutritionist the steps I could take to avoid Type 2 diabetes and cholesterol reduction.
Im now heading towards a vegan diet, and avoid any saturated fat and sugar I can. Feeling great. I am also taking mild medication for BP and cholesterol - which I may be able to dispense with soon. I was never overweight, but now I have no extra fat around my waist, and generally feel really good. Of course, Im doing yoga and going to the gym too.
Summary: MyNetDiary is an easy to use tool to make you aware of the areas you should focus on. A big plus is that it easily transfers all its data to my iPhone native health app, from which I can pass it on to my doctor or medical network (which has its own sophisticated app linked to the iPhone app).
